Nurture at Oldbury Park

Introduction from Ben Irving, Principal of Oldbury Park Primary School
We are thrilled that the backing of Central Region Schools Trust, Worcestershire County Council and the Department for Education, will soon enable us to realise the long-held ambition to offer nursery provision at Oldbury Park Primary School once again. Exciting plans are underway to create a new nursery unit within the school grounds, enabling those children who will attend to benefit from our generous site in a fabulous location within St.Johns, Worcester. We believe that high-quality nursery provision at our school will benefit the children and their families within our local community and enhance both the children’s Early Years and primary school experience.
The partnership between Nurture Families and Oldbury Park Primary School is a natural match; we share many common values and aims and hold the same aspirations for the children in our care. Positive relationships that underpin learning and play, a holistic view of child development and a love of outdoor learning will be the common ground upon which our partnership will flourish.
Over the coming months we will be able to share news of this project with our community to support those with an interest in accessing this nursery provision as well as those families already part of our community.

From the Nurture team
Nurture Families’ kindergartens are small, relationship-led nurseries with a Forest School heart. We've been running this way at Top Barn Farm in Holt Heath since 2015, and from September 2026 at our second home - the Fold, in Bransford.
In April 2027, we open our third Nurture Kindergarten on the grounds of Oldbury Park School. The same Forest School roots. The same belief that early education works best when young children are known well, spend most of the day outside, and stay with the same Educator over time. Nurture at Oldbury Park is designed to bring nature-inspired and relationship-focused early education to families across Worcester.
